Paws and Listen Radio Show Reimagining the veterinary experience. For people. And for pets.  Pets have changed from property to family. It’s time for veterinary medicine to change along with this.  Locations Our Story A stylized black letter "B" with a dog silhouette, subtly hinting at its veterinary essence, is integrated into the design on a light background. A large, white heart shape against a pale blue background evokes the caring nature of a veterinarian.

Welcome to Cara.

We built Cara because the relationship between people and pets has changed. Pets used to be seen as replaceable. Now, they are family. You share an intense emotional connection with your pet. One that you wouldn’t trade for the world. But even as medicine has advanced, the veterinary model has not evolved to recognize this incredible shift between people and pets. This leaves pet owners feeling a lack of control and knowledge over the health of their pet. It leads to anxiety, mistrust, and an overall poor experience.

We see a different way to build a veterinary experience. One that will leave you walking away thinking “I didn’t know it could be like this”.
Why we exist
A smartphone display shows a dark screen with end and mute call icons. Surrounding it are four profile pictures labeled: AJ & Chipipi, Kenzie & Lula, Reese, and Bob & Pixie. Each features people with their pets, possibly seeking advice from a vet. An illustration of a smartphone screen displaying a blank video call interface. What Reimagined Care Looks Like

A person in red gym attire, much like a dedicated veterinarian caring for their patients' progress, demonstrates deadlifts. They advance from no equipment to heavy weights, increasing reps and sets over 12 weeks. The green background complements a calendar marking each week's advancements.

Reimagining employee care. Veterinary professionals are among the most wonderful, passionate and driven people on earth. They feel incredibly proud of the difference that they make in the lives of people and pets. But they can also go home feeling exhausted. They can be drained by difficult situations, low pay, and a lack of support and mentorship.

We invest in our teams. We create world-class training, mentorship, and support systems. Here, our teams feel respected, cared for, and empowered to do the best work of their lives... with a big smile on their face.
Reimagining client care. The veterinary environment has largely been optimized for medical needs, not emotional needs. The experience in the waiting and exam rooms are often more conducive to anxiety and fear than confidence and warmth.

We believe there is a better way. One that prioritizes connection, education, and comfort. One that ensures that both you and your pet receive the care you deserve.
Reimagining patient care. Pets are now family. They deserve the level of medicine that you would want for any member of yours. We believe in raising the level of care your pet receives to new heights. By incorporating pioneering technologies, modernized protocols, and industry-leading team training and development... this is the level of care your pet deserves.

Because when they look into your eyes, they see a hero. We'll help you care for them like one.

Through our decades of experience in business and healthcare, we appreciate that the key to success is building a home for doctors, staff, and pet parents where each feel supported, empowered, and proud. Cara’s commitment to our pillars is what helps us foster this strong community culture. PUT PETS FIRST Our first priority is always the health, happiness, and comfort of our four- legged patients. We have designed the Cara experience with the animal perspective in mind. And our care advice is based only on what is best for the pet. TRUST THE PARENT We believe that caring for an animal is a partnership built on mutual trust and humility. We trust parents to make the right decisions for themselves and their pets, and invite them to actively participate in care alongside us. GOOD NEIGHBORS Although our business is growing, we retain the attitude and spirit of a neighborhood veterinarian. We welcome people in. We get to know our clients’ families, and are proud to play an active role in our local communities. AUTHENTICALLY HUMAN Caring for a pet involves the full spectrum of emotions, from joy to grief. We must lean into openness, empathy, and compassionate listening. We know when to be fun, and when to be serious. At all times, we foster a supportive, positive, and authentically human hospital culture. SHAKE THINGS UP Cara is always looking for a better way. In an industry that hasn’t seen a lot of innovation, we are experimenting with new ways of delivering care, delighting customers with unexpectedly human (and animal) touches, and infusing our hospitals with fresh ideas. 01 02 03 04 05
