As the Director of Business operations, Patrick partners with Hospital Directors, Medical Directors, and our Head of Medicine to help support a practice culture focused on Cara’s Pillars of Putting Pets First, Being Good Neighbors, and Being Authentically Human. From a Service perspective, Patrick works in partnership supporting the productive growth of hospital teams, ensuring each Team Member works in an engaging, collaborative way, focusing on a culture rooted in hospitality – Being Authentically Human, and truly connecting with Clients and their Pets. In addition, Patrick is responsible for improving systems and helping to drive business and operational consistency, while supporting the highest quality of veterinary care, exceptional client service, and Team Member engagement.

Prior to joining Cara Veterinary, Patrick worked on the Island of Maui with the Team at The Grand Wailea Hotel. In his Retail Career, Patrick has worked with world-class brands such as Disney, Nike, and Lands’ End. Patrick’s most recent role was Director of Hospitality and Guest Services with Metropolitan Market in the Greater Puget Sound Region. During his time in role, Patrick worked with Leadership and Teams on building strength of culture and the importance of Teams building lasting, interpersonal relationships between Guests, Team Members, and Community.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending as much time as possible with family (wife Kathleen, six kids, one super-grandson, two Maui rescue pups – Koalani and Taro, as well as a rescue kitty named Opihi). Sunday night family dinners are a tradition – There is always room at his table! Spending time in the kitchen, fly-fishing, winter weekends as a ski instructor, or an afternoon motorcycle ride, it’s all about celebrating the joys of life!
